PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for effectively and simultaneously removing viruses and cytokines from the blood.
SOLUTION: The system comprises a blood passage including a first conduit 202, a plasma separator 203 connected to the first conduit 202 and a second conduit 204 connected to the plasma separator 203, a first plasma passage including a membrane-type virus remover 206 having logarithmic reduction rate of Japanese encephalitis virus of &ge1 and a third conduit 207 having one end connected to a filtrate outlet of the plasma separator 203 and the other end connected to a plasma inlet of the virus remover 206, a second plasma passage including a cytokine adsorber 208 and a fourth conduit 209 having one end connected to a filtrate outlet of the virus remover 206 and the other end connected to a plasma inlet of the cytokine adsorber 208, and a third plasma passage including a fifth conduit 210 having one end connected to a plasma outlet of the cytokine adsorber 208 and the other end connected to the second conduit 204.
