An intravascular valve component broadly includes a valve case and a flexiblepressure-actuated flow controlvalve. The valve case includes attached proximal and distal case portions thatpresent respective spaced apart fluid ports and aflu-id passageway extending between the ports. The flexible pressure-actuatedflow control valve is disposed within the fluidpassage-way and includes a slitted central valve wall and an annular flangesurrounding the central valve wall. The annular flange includesa radially-extending flange wall and a projection extending axially from theflange wall, with the projection engaging one of thecase portions to restrict radial movement of the flow control valve relativeto the valve case.
