PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which a body fluid absorbed once can quickly be shifted to both sides along the longitudinal direction of an absorber, and it is hard to perform liquid return in a recess, and also, the recess can maintain a hollow shape even after body fluid absorption and the side leakage of the body fluid can be prevented.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 comprises a surface sheet 2, a back sheet 3, and an absorber 4 interposed between both sheets 2, 3. The absorber 4 includes an absorbent core 40. The absorbent core 40 includes a recess 42 formed on a skin facing surface, and a flow path groove 43 formed on the skin facing surface or a non-skin facing surface. The recess 42 is formed by extending in the longitudinal direction X in an excretion facing part B and in a crosswise central part 4C. The flow path groove 43 has multiple horizontal flow path grooves 43Y extending in the transverse direction Y at intervals in the longitudinal direction X.
