PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide monoclonal antibodies that selectively bind to activated protein C, and to provide a method of using the same.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to monoclonal antibodies or antibody fragments, which selectively bind to activated protein C to inhibit its anticoagulant activity, but does not bind to unactivated protein C or does not inhibit the activation thereof, or which inhibits activated or unactivated protein C binding of endothelial cell protein C receptor or phospholipids and inhibits unactivated protein C activation.
