PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin external preparation capable of effectively protecting a skin from near infrared rays, since it is known that near infrared rays are deeply involved in skin aging and the like, and the skin external preparation capable of protecting the skin from near infrared rays is required.SOLUTION: The skin external preparation of the present invention contains an alkylphosphonic acid copper salt. Preferably, the alkylphosphonic acid copper salt is contained in an amount of 0.05 mass% or more and less than 50 mass% in 100 mass% of the skin external preparation.
