PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of screening compounds for treating neurodegeneration disease, while using an intracellular capsule of denatured protein involved in ER (endplasmic reticulum)-related degradation. SOLUTION: The method is characterized by including imparting a compound as a candidate for a treatment agent to a cell, embryo, organ, tissue or nonhuman individual; checking whether or not the treatment agent inhibits the function of protein or peptide which constitutes translocon in the cell; and, if the function is inhibited, selecting the compound as the treatment agent.
