PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost sulky rice transplanter without deteriorating the rigidity. SOLUTION: This sulky rice transplanter is obtained by installing a car body cover 20 having a main step in the vicinity of a transmission case 6 formed in the state of the front at a higher level and the rear at a lower level and fitting a recessed part or a protruding part 6a provided on the undersurface of the main step into the protruding part 6a or recessed part formed on the top surface of the transmission case 6 so as to come into mutual contact in the sulky rice transplanter comprising a power part arranged at the front of a machine body and a planting part freely liftably and lowerably installed at the rear of the machine body.
