The present invention relates to the synthesis of 1-amino-3,5-dimethyladamantane ("memantine") and its hydrochloric acid salt form. In particular a new intermediate (N-chloroacetylamino-3,5-dimethyladamantane) for the synthesis of memantine as well as a new process for the preparation of memantine and its hydrochloric acid salt form using said intermediate is disclosed.Настоящее изобретение относится к синтезу 1-амино-3,5-диметиладамантана ("мемантина") и его гидрохлорида. В частности, описано новое промежуточное соединение (N-хлорацетиламино-3,5-диметиладамантан) для синтеза мемантина, а также новый способ получения мемантина и его гидрохлорида с использованием указанного промежуточного соединения.
