Provided are a method for easily promoting the solidification of a lipid composition, preferably a lipid composition for food or cosmetics, said lipid composition comprising at least one member selected from among a fatty acid and a glycerin fatty acid ester, and a method for producing fractionated lipids whereby the aforesaid lipid composition is fractionated into a solid fraction and a liquid fraction.
