PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber capable of exert high strength sufficient for an industrial material net product, and an industrial material net composed of the same. SOLUTION: The polyester fiber for the industrial material net has knot strength of 3.3-4.2 cN/dtex, and a single yarn breakage frequency per 10,000 m fiber length of 2.0 or less. It is preferable that the polyester fiber has dry-heat shrinkage of 3-13% at 150°C, heat shrinkage stress of 0.2-0.5 cN/dtex, a principal repeating unit composed of polyethylene terephthalate, and a yarn IV of 0.85-0.94.
