The sensor assembly forms the flat bottom of a tube (5) containing the plastics mixture (7). A thin foil (4) protects the capacitive field sensor (1) from the plastics without interfering with the electrical field (6). The capacitive field sensor consists of a set of interdigitating conductive bars. - A heat bridge (3) in the center conducts heat from the plastics to a temperature sensor (2) under the capacitive field sensor. There is a heater or cooler (8) under the support for the capacitive field sensor and an electric socket (9) for the temperature sensor and the capacitive field sensor.
