The invention relates to a device for cauterizing prickly pears (tunas) so as to increase the shelf life thereof the equipment is pneumatic and includes a pneumatic piston where a movable cart is mounted, this cart being fixed to a linear shaft which end portion is coupled to a hinged robotic hand for manipulation, this hand including elements and actuating means for closing and securing a pear, and rotating the same, the hand being opened to release the pear once it is cauterized wherein the cauterization is carried out by compressing the pear, attached to said hand, against a vertical wall of dry ice stored within a cauterization isolated chamber also includes drive means for rotating the robotic hand, and a microcontroller with a timer circuit for controlling the actuating times of the forward and backward movement of the piston performed by the pneumatic electrovalves by means of relays, comprising a microswitch for disconnecting the second backward electrovalve for stopping th e linear movement of the shaft in its backward motion and rotating the hand by deactivating a pin of a solenoid so as to open said hinged robotic hand and release the pear the equipment has proximity sensors for counting cauterization times and for actuating the hinged robotic hand for manipulation.Esta invención se refiere a un equipo cauterizador de tunas que permite aumentar la vida de anaquel el equipo es neumático y consta de un pistón neumático en el que se monta un carro móvil que se fija a una flecha lineal cuyo extremo esta acoplado a una mano articulada robótica de manipulación, la cual esta configurada con elementos y medios de accionamiento para cerrar y sujetar una tuna, y para hacerla girar y abrirse para soltar la tuna una vez cauterizada en donde la cauterización se realiza mediante la compresión de la tuna sujeta con dicha mano contra una pared vertical de hielo seco resguardad dentro de una cámara aislada de cauterización medios de impulsión para hacer girar la mano robó
