PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type eyelash cosmetic that has unprecedentedly high gloss and blackness, exhibits dramatic cleansing properties for lukewarm water and has good preservation stability.
SOLUTION: The oil-in-water type eyelash cosmetic comprises the following components (A)-(E): (A) an alkyl acrylate-vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion, (B) an alkyl acrylate copolymer emulsion, (C) carbon black, (D) a polyhydric alcohol, and (E) at least one water-soluble film-forming agent selected between polyvinyl pyrrolidone and polyvinyl alcohol, where the mass ratio in terms of the solid content of the component (A) to the component (B), (A):(B), is 3:1 to 1:3 and the total amount of the component (D) is 0.1-4.0 mass% based on the whole cosmetic.
