Problem to be solved: to provide a method for sterilizing a PET bottle which is easy to adsorb hydrogen peroxide at a low cost and efficiently in a processing time corresponding to a line speed of a packing packaging machine.Solution: after the hydrogen peroxide gas was sprayed on the inner surface of the container, and hydrogen peroxide was adhered to the inner surface of the container beforehand, the light source was irradiated with ultraviolet rays having a wavelength range of 320 to 400 nm passing through the pet material or the like from the opening side, side surface or bottom side of the container (PET), and the pet material was used.
