PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inexpensive agricultural mulch sheet having flexibility facilitating laying on soil, and easy to biodegrade.SOLUTION: This method for producing the agricultural mulch sheet includes first preparing a waste cotton sheet which is obtained by accumulating waste cottons at random, and contains in intervals between waste cottons, impurities selected from the group consisting of cotton seed, cotton tree stem, cotton tree leaf and cotton tree calyx. Furthermore, the method includes spraying water to the waste cotton sheet followed by passing the waste cotton sheet through a pair of drum-like calender roll, and heating and pressurizing the product in the thickness direction. The intervals between the waste cottons firmly adhere to each other by the heating and pressurizing to improve strength, and on the other hand, impurities in the waste cotton sheet are squashed and flattened. The sheet thus obtained is passed through a pair of embossing rolls so as to obtain the flexible agricultural mulch sheet given with an uneven design on the surface.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】 土壌に敷設しやすい柔軟性を有し、かつ、生分解しやすくい安価な農業用マルチシートの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】 まず、落綿シートを準備する。落綿シートは、落綿が無作為に集積されてなると共に、落綿相互の間隙に、綿実、綿の木の茎、綿の木の葉及び綿の木の萼よりなる群から選ばれた夾雑物が含まれている。この落綿シートに、水を噴霧する。その後、落綿シートを一対の太鼓形カレンダーロールに通し、厚み方向に加熱及び加圧する。この加熱及び加圧により、落綿相互間は密着して、強度が向上する。一方、落綿シート中の夾雑物は圧潰され、扁平化する。このようにして得られたシートを、一対のエンボスロールに通すと、表面に凹凸模様が付与された柔軟性のある農業用マルチシートが得られる。【選択図】 なし
