PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article equipped with three-dimensional gathers good in touch while suppressing cost.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 1A being an example of the absorbent article includes a surface sheet 21, a back sheet 22 and a longitudinal absorbent 23 arranged between these sheets 21 and 22. A pair of three-dimensional gathers 3 and 3 are formed to both side parts 1S and 1S along a y-direction by arranging elastic members 31. The pair of the respective three-dimensional gathers 3 and 3 are formed using a three-dimensional gather forming sheet 24 in which at least a part of a spun bonded nonwoven fabric or a laminated nonwoven fabric of a spun bonded layer and a melt blown layer is at least partially raised.
