PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manufacturing process and also to reduce manufacturing cost by saving materials, reducing waste and simplifying structure.SOLUTION: A disposable paper diaper comprises: an absorbent body 10 and external sheets 20, 30 which are integrally joined to the absorbent body 10, composes a front body F and a rear body B, and have a large number of elastic stretchable members 25 to 28 arranged between upper-layer nonwoven cloths 21A, 31A and lower-layer non-woven cloths 21B, 31B and along at least a waist part and a girth part in the respective areas of the front body F and the rear body B. Either one of the upper-layer nonwoven cloths 21A, 31A and the lower-layer nonwoven cloths 21B, 31B of the external sheets 20, 30 uses a material stretchable in the longitudinal direction of the diaper, and the other uses a material that extends only the longitudinal direction thereof.
