PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar incorporation promoter of a cell, particularly a muscular (skeletal muscle and myocardium) cell, a hyperglycemia improving agent comprising the same, a preventive or therapeutic agent of diabetes or diabetic complication comprising the hyperglycemia improving agent, and a composition for food and drink comprising the sugar incorporation promoter, or a food and drink comprising the composition for food and drink.SOLUTION: The invention provides a sugar incorporation promoter containing as an active ingredient extracts from one or more kinds selected from a group consisting of Beta vulgaris L., Fuscoporia obliqua, Pseudocydonia sinensis, lycium fruit, Sasa veitchii (Carr.)Rehd., cassia seed, Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer, Crataegus cuneata Sieb. et Zucc., Alpinia speciosa K. Schum leaf, Rubus suavissimus S.
