PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart high timber preservative performance to a plywood or a veneer laminate layer at a chemical addition amount less than that in the conventional art, and to protect a surface layer and an inside of timber from a wood infesting injurious insect such as termites.
SOLUTION: In the timber preservative treating method, three or more of conifer veneers having thickness of 1.8 mm or more are bonded by using an adhesive mixed with an insecticidal composition having water solubility at 20°C of 100 mg/L or more, and further a timber preservative blended with the insecticidal composition having water solubility at 20°C of 100 mg/L or less is applied, sprayed, or impregnated thereto.
