The present invention relates to a planting method for increasing rooting and growth of a planted tree in a windy and arid region unfavorable in growth of the tree and, concretely, to a pit mulching planting method, comprising the steps of: forming a pit with 60-70 cm of upper width, 45-55 cm of depth and 50-60° of a slope gradient on soil in the windy and arid region and positioning a tree in the pit inputting earth into the pit to raise a surface of the soil from a base of the tree by 25-35 cm and planting the tree and mulching the pit with dry grass around the base of the tree by 5-15 cm of thickness. The pit mulching planting method according to the present invention can achieve an effect of protecting against wind from all sides regardless of wind directions, and generates shadow in all directions to control evaporation of moisture from a tree stem and the soil and to be moisturized via wind protection and shadow generation. In addition, the dry grass with which the pit is mulched around the base of the planted tree by 5-15 cm of thickness can collect underwater or rainwater and provide organic materials to the soil.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017본 발명은 수목생장에 불리한 강풍 및 건조지역에서 식재(植栽)수목의 활착과 생장을 증진하기 위한 식재 기법에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로는 강풍 및 건조지역의 토양에 상부 폭 60~70 cm, 깊이 45~55 cm 및 사면 경사 50~60°의 구덩이를 형성하여 수목을 위치시키고, 수목의 근원부로부터 토양 표면까지의 높이가 25~35 cm가 되도록 흙을 구덩이에 투입하여 수목을 식재한 후, 수목의 근원부 주위에 건초를 두께 5~15 cm로 멀칭하는 구덩이 멀칭식재 기법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 구덩이 멀칭식재 기법은, 풍향에 관계없이 사방으로 방풍 효과를 달성할 수 있고, 사방으로 음영이 생성되어 방풍과 차양을 통해 수간(수목줄기) 및 토양의 수분증발 제어와 보습효과를 발휘한다. 또한, 식재된 수목의 근원부 주위에 5~15 cm 두께로 멀칭된 건초는 지하수 또는 빗물을 차집하는 효과가 있고, 토양에 유기물을 제공하는 효과가 있다.
