Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Biozidzusammensetzung, die 5-Chlor-2- methylisothiazolin-3-οn sowie wenigstens eine weitere Komponente ausgewählt aus der Gruppe 2,2-Dibrom-3-nitrilpropionamid, 2,2-Dibrommalonamid, Tetramethylolacetylendiharnstoff, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylendiamintetraacetat, Zinkpyrithion, Benzylalkohol, Lithium, 2-Methyl-1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-on, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylylglykol, p-Hydroxybenzoesäurepropylester und o-Phenylphenol enthält. Die erfindungsgemäße Biozidzusammensetzung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-on im Bereich von 0 bis 2 Gew.-%, bezogen auf den Gesamtanteil des 5-Chlor-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-ons, enthält.
