Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Biozidzusammensetzung, die 5-Chlor-2- methylisothiazolin-3-οn sowie wenigstens eine weitere Komponente, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 3-Iod-2-propinylbutylcarbamat, Octylisothiazolinon, N-Butyl-Benzisothiazolinon, Phenetylalkohol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Benzoesäure, Sorbinsäure, Salicylsäure, Dehydracetsäure, Didecyldimethylammoniumchlorid, Benzalkoniumchlorid, Formaldehyd, Glutardialdehyd, (l-hydroxyethylidene)bis-Phosphonsäure, N,N- Ethylendiamindisuccinat und Polyasparaginsäure, enthält. Die erfindungsgemäße Biozidzusammensetzung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie Methyl- 4-isothiazolin-3-on im Bereich von 0 bis 2 Gew.-%, bezogen auf den Gesamtanteil des 5- Chlor-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-ons, enthält.
