An ultrasonic wave generating device includes: an ultrasonic transducer； and a variable pulse generating device which generates and outputs an electric pulse. The ultrasonic transducer comprises a piezoelectric element which receives electric pulse from the electric pulse generating device and vibrates, and a memory which stores characteristic information of the ultrasonic transducer. The electric pulse generating device includes a variable pulse generator which generates and outputs an electric pulse having at least one of a variable frequency, a variable voltage and a variable current, an information receiver which receives characteristic information of the ultrasonic transducer from the memory, and a controller controlling the variable pulse generator based on the characteristic information of the ultrasonic transducer received by the information receiver such that the variable pulse generator generates and outputs an electric pulse which has at least one of a variable frequency, a variable voltage and a variable current.초음파 생성 장치는 초음파 변환기와 전기 펄스 생성 장치를 포함한다. 초음파 변환기는 전기 펄스 생성 장치로부터 전기 펄스를 수신하여 진동하는 압전소자, 그리고 초음파 변환기의 특성 정보를 저장하는 메모리를 포함한다. 그리고 전기 펄스 생성 장치는, 주파수, 전압, 및 전류 중 하나 이상이 가변 될 수 있는 전기 펄스를 생성하여 출력할 수 있도록 형성되는 가변 펄스 생성기, 상기 초음파 변환기의 특성 정보를 상기 메모리로부터 수신하는 정보 수신기, 그리고 상기 정보 수신기에 의해 수신되는 상기 특성 정보를 기초로 상기 가변 펄스 생성기가 주파수 및 전압, 전류 중 하나 이상이 가변 될 수 있는 전기 펄스를 생성하여 출력하도록 상기 가변 펄스 생성기를 제어하는 컨트롤러를 포함한다. 압전소자를 포함하는 초음파 변환기의 메모리에 해당 초음파 변환기의 고유한 전기적 특성 정보 또는 특정한 가변 펄스 생성기에 결합되었을 경우의 전기적 특성이 저장되어 있어 이것이 전기 펄스를 생성하는 기초 자료로 사용될 수 있기 때문에, 초음파 변환기의 제조 과정에서 발생되는 특성의 차이를 극복하고 원하는 초음파를 안정적으로 생성할 수 있다.
