<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical braid for reinforcing a catheter which is strong and excellent in operability, which is provided with repeated fatigue resistance characteristic and buckling resistance and which prevents various kinds of problems caused by interference or disturbance of a magnetic field due to a magnetic phenomenon, and to provide the catheter using the cylindrical braid. <;P>;SOLUTION: The cylindrical braid for reinforcing a catheter is obtained by braiding work of a belt-like thin wire each having a flat surface and made of fine metal to be shaped in the state of a small-diameter cylinder. The belt-like thin wire is made of high MnN-added stainless steel which contains, by mass, C:≤0.06%, Si:≤0.80%, Mn:3.00 to 18.00%, Ni:2.00 to 13.00%, Cr:15.00 to 25.00%, N:0.10 to 0.80%, and either or both of Mo:0.40 to 3.50% and Cu:0.08 to 0.80% according to need, and which has high-strength nonmagnetic characteristic of tensile strength (σ) of 1,500 to 3,000 MPa and magnetic permeability:≤1.01. The catheter product is made of the braid. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
