Transporter to move pref. motor cars between production stations consists of pre-assembled main frame with locking and support devices to secure car body without wheels
The transporter (1) has a rectangular main frame, with support columns in its four corners for a further transporter. A car (2) is secured on the transporter by positive locking devices (34) and supports located at relative distances, between the main frame (4) and the base (33) of the car. Each locking device consists of an upright bolt (38), which projects into a corresponding opening in a retainer (40). Each support unit is height-adjustable. The free ends (19-22) of the support columns (15,17) are formed to retain support plates (23-26) of a further transporter (1'). The car is a painted body without wheels.
