PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-appreciating body capable of vigorously growing a plant without clouding the surrounding wall of a transparent body even when the plant is kept in a state housed in the closed transparent body. SOLUTION: This plant-appreciating body has an upper housing body 3 and a lower housing body 2. At least the upper housing body 3 in the upper and the lower housing bodies 3, 2 is formed of a transparent material and a plant 5 planted in the farmland consisting essentially of jahgaru is surrounded to constitute the above upper housing body. The farmland is prepared by mixing jahgaru with a humectant. At least one drain hole may be formed in the bottom of the above lower housing body 2. An anti-fog layer may be provided in a part of inner wall of at least either one of the upper housing body 3 and the lower housing body 2.
