A greening block and a greening block fence, the block comprising side walls (2, 3), upper and lower walls (4, 5), a partition wall (6), a front soil storage part (7) formed narrower from the front side thereof toward the partition wall (6), a rear side soil storage part (8) formed narrower from the rear side thereof toward the partition wall (6), a laterally extending recessed part (9) formed in the upper surface of the upper wall (4), a laterally extending projected part (10) having such a shape that is fitted to a part of the recessed part (9) formed in the lower surface of the lower wall (5), upper water drain holes (11) formed so as to allow the recessed part (9) in the upper wall to communicate with the front soil storage part (7) and the rear soil storage part (8), and lower water drain holes (12) formed so as to allow the projected part (10) on the lower wall to communicate with the front soil storage part (7) and the rear soil storage part (8), wherein the upper water drain hole (11) and the lower water drain holes (12) are formed so as to communicate with each other in a joined surface between the recessed part (9) and the projected part (10) fitted to each other, whereby the seeding and planting on the vertical plane of the block fence can be efficiently performed by placing soil in the soil storage parts (7, 8) and planting vegetation plants thereon.
