PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to facilitate intraoperative procedures and planning.SOLUTION: The system includes means for generating a patient-specific implicit function model, on the basis of preoperative image data of a patient. The patient-specific implicit function model defines the geometry of an anatomical structure of the patient. The system further comprises: means for receiving, from an electromagnetic tracking system, tracking data representing the position of an object in the anatomical structure of the patient； means for registering the tracking data and the patient-specific implicit function model together in a common three-dimensional coordinate system； and means for generating an output image representing the position and shape of the object corresponding to the geometry of the anatomical structure of the patient in the three-dimensional coordinate system.
