PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both high massage strength and soft touch in a massage machine to apply rubbing massage and tapping massage with treatment elements mounted at the distal ends of a pair of left and right treatment arms of a treatment mechanism built in a backrest by the oscillation of the treatment arms in the cross direction, forward/backward or in the vertical direction.SOLUTION: In the treatment mechanism 24, the treatment elements 23 are rotatably pivotally supported to one ends of V-shaped treatment arms 41, and support members 42 to support the back of the treated person by a plane 42a are attached to the other ends of the treatment arms 41 and under the treatment elements 23. Accordingly, in a strong mode in which the treatment elements 23 project as indicated in the figure (b), strong stimulus massage with a large quantity of power difference is applied to the treated person as a support member 42 is retracted in such a way as a seesaw.
