Embodiments of the disclosure include an adaptor for a medical instrument configured for insertion into a body of a patient. The adaptor may comprise a housing defining an internal recess configured to receive a portion of the medical instrument. The internal recess may further include geometric configurations configured to secure the housing to the medical instrument.
