PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify use preparation of a medical instrument, such as a medical probe, to be connected to an external device when it is used.SOLUTION: A probe packaging material has a probe tray 10 where a housing recess 11 for housing a probe body 20 is formed. The probe body 20 has a connector part 21 connectable with a base unit at a probe proximal end part 20a. The probe tray 10 includes a notched part 13 for communicating a side face opening 12 with the housing recess 11, and a holding part for holding the probe proximal end part 20a at the notched part 13 in the state of turning the connector part 21 to the outer side of the probe tray 10 from the side face opening 12.
