PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel adjuvant for improving bioperformance of an active ingredient of agrochemicals.SOLUTION: The adjuvant suitable for using together with a lipophilic agrochemical is expressed by formula (I): R1-(CO)m-O-[-R2O-]n-R3 (1), wherein R1 is a 16-20C straight chain or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl group R2 is ethyl or isopropyl, n is 8-30, m is 0 or 1 when R2 is ethyl, R3 is a 1-7C alkyl group when R2 is isopropyl, R3 is hydrogen or a 1-7C alkyl group provided that when R1 is oleyl, R2 is isopropyl and R3 is hydrogen, n is not 10.
