PURPOSE:To provide a shift manipulating structure which enable smooth lever manipulation with the use of a conventionally incorporated drive mechanism and which is excellent in responsiveness with no backlash CONSTITUTION:A manual lever 7 and a shift manipulating tool 8 of a running continuous variable transmission 3 are associated with each other so as to manipulatable, and sensors SW1, SW2 for detecting a forward or rearward manipulation of the manual lever 7 are provided. An automatic transmission motor 10 is controlled so as to be rotated in the manipulating direction of the manual lever 7 in accordance with a detection signal from the sensors SW1, SW2, preferential to automatic manipulation control operation. Further, a pressure sensitive switch which is elastically deformable is sued as each of the sensors SW1, SW2.
