The invention related to a one-pot process of making a single-phase silicone-acrylic hybrid adhesive composition comprising acrylic polymer and silicone polymer that are covalently bonded through a -Si-O-Si- linkage. The acrylic polymer contains at least one hydrolyzable silane (meth)acrylic monomer or siloxane (meth)acrylic macromer. These functional moieties provide reaction sites to form -Si-O-Si- bond by reacting hydrolyzable groups in the silicone polymer in the presence of a base or acid catalyst and water.
