Provided is a polymer material capable of producing an intraocular lens having a high refractive index and low tackiness of a lens surface thereof, the intraocular lens in which generation of glistening and whitening is suppressed. Further, provided is an intraocular lens having the above properties.A polymer material can preferably be used for producing an intraocular lens, and is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing 11 to 30 mass% of a macromonomer (A) represented by the following general formula (I) and at least one of a (meth)acrylate monomer having an aryl group (B).[In the above formula, each of four “n”s is independently an integer number of 1 or 2, each of “a”, “b”, “c” and “d” is independently an integer number of 4 or larger, and each of four “Z”s is independently a substituent group containing a (meth)acryloyl group.]本發明提供一種聚合物材料,其能夠製作折射率高、透鏡表面的黏合性低且抑制閃光以及白化的產生的眼內透鏡。此外,提供具有上述特性的眼內透鏡。所述聚合物材料較佳能夠用於製作眼內透鏡,其將含有11~30 質量%的以下述通式(I)表示的大分子單體(A)和至少一種具有芳基的(甲基)丙烯酸酯單體(B)的單體混合液聚合而成。[式中,4個n分別獨立地爲1或者2,a、b、c以及d分別獨立地爲4以上的整數,4個Z分別獨立地爲包含(甲基)丙烯醯基的取代基。]
