The manually-operated equipment thrusts a miniature oblong probe forward inside a guiding catheter, there being a passage for the probe from the inlet to an outlet at a union for the catheter. Part of the passage is formed by two tubes (20,23) telescoping one inside the other. At the end nearest to the inlet (19) of one of the tubes (20) a clamp (28) is situated, and there is a further clamp (32) at the end of the other tube (23) nearest the outlet (22). Each clamp has halves gripping the probe (11) between them and moved together by an actuator member. USE/ADVANTAGE - Inserts max-length probe without kinking.
