PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus, an image display method, and an image display program for generating and displaying an image by which to easily determine the presence or absence of any error in the results of recognition of costal regions, etc.SOLUTION: A two-dimensional image is generated from a three-dimensional volume image of the chest of a human body on the basis of information about recognized and labeled costal regions and vertebral regions. The two-dimensional image includes plural first regions showing one of right and left costal regions and plural second regions showing the other of the right and left costal regions or vertebral regions.
