PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for improving sweetness of rebaudioside A which is a sweet main component of a stevia extract a sweetener having sweeteness improved by the method and an oral composition such as food and drink.SOLUTION: There are provided a sweetener containing rebaudioside A and mogroside V at the weight ratio of 95:5 to 87:13 (excluding 87:13), and a sweetener further containing thaumatin.
