The dental oven has a combustion chamber (12) for the heat treatment of dental restoration that stands in connection with a vacuum source through a suction line (38). A valve assembly (22) is arranged between the combustion chamber and the suction line. The combustion chamber is locked with the suction chamber to maintain a negative pressure in the combustion chamber against the suction line. The suction line is ventilated between the valve assembly and the vacuum source, particularly through an ambient air connector (32).
