PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor system having a lead wire with a terminal covered with a removable sheath.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, a lead wire has a first end portion 106 for connection to a transplantable electrode 102 and a second end portion 108 having a terminal portion for connection to an engaging terminal. Therefore, a sheath 112 prevents body fluid from making contact with the terminal portion when a hole is bored beneath a patients scalp for insertion of the lead wire 104.
