PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition containing a plant extract having excellent FGF-5 gene expression inhibiting action.
SOLUTION: There is provided the composition containing an extract of one or more kinds of plants selected from Carum carvi, green oat, Rumex japonicus, Passiflora racemosa and Passiflora incarnate and an extract of Orthosiphon stamineus. Preferably, the composition contains the extracts obtained by using a solvent selected from water, ethanol and water-ethanol mixture and is used as an external preparation for skin or an oral administration composition. Excellent hair-growing effect and cardiopathy prevention effect can be attained by using the preparation, etc.
