The invention for which a patent is requested is an insert for use in a shoewherein said insert absorbsand releases energy during the normal bending and straightening of the footduring walking, running andjumping. The energy is stored at the flex point between the fore-foot and mid-foot. The insert serves adual role of reducing strain on the foot/joints and improving the performanceand speed of the runner.
