PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which hardly causes twists and vertical creases on a side part in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article when being worn and improves wearing feeling.SOLUTION: A liner 1 of one embodiment according to the present invention includes a surface sheet 2, a rear surface sheet 3, and an absorber 4 which is arranged between both sheets 2, 3 and has a thickness of 2 mm or less, and has a fiber sheet 5 between the surface sheet 2 and the absorber 4. The density of the fiber sheet 5 is lower than that of the surface sheet 2. The surface sheet 2 and the fiber sheet 5 extend to the outside of both side edges 4s, 4s in a Y direction of the absorber 4 by the same width. In a plane view of the liner 1, a vertically-long oblique lattice shape 7 described by a compression part 71 is arranged in a pattern where the oblique lattice shape is aligned to make contact with the entire peripheral edge part 6 of the liner 1. The area of a region enclosed by the entire peripheral edge part 6 is larger than the area of each of the oblique lattice shapes 7.
