The float has a hollow body (1) that is provided with a main cavity (2). A wall is provided with a density that is lower than the density of a liquid e.g. river. A surface (3) is arranged for defining the wall of the hollow body. A permanent opening (5) is located on the surface so as to authorize the liquid to and from the cavity. The hollow body is arranged to have a resistance for flow of the liquid in a direction, where the resistance to the flow of liquid is different from another resistance to the flow of the liquid in another direction opposed to the former direction.
