PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator device for an electric vehicle, which is capable of preventing the vehicle from starting because of an accelerator operation which is not intended by a driver and increasing operability.SOLUTION: When a forward/backward traveling changeover switch is operated (YES in step S12) and then an accelerator operation is performed within a predetermined time thereafter (YES in step S15), a control part recognizes this as establishment of traveling permission condition and permits traveling of an electric vehicle by driving of a motor (step S16). Even if the accelerator operation is released (YES in step S19) while the electric vehicle is traveling after the establishment of the traveling permission condition, the control part continues permission of traveling (step S16) provided that an acceleration operation is performed again while a prescribed traveling permission continuation condition is satisfied (YES in step S21). The traveling permission continuation condition is a condition of being within a prescribed permission continuation time after releasing of an acceleration operation (YES in step S20).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3【課題】運転者の意図しないアクセル操作による車両の発進を抑制でき、操作性を向上させることができる電動車両のアクセル装置を提供すること。【解決手段】制御部は、前後進切替スイッチが操作（ステップＳ１２でＹＥＳ）されてから所定時間以内にアクセル操作が行われたこと（ステップＳ１５でＹＥＳ）を走行許可条件として、モータの駆動による電動車両の走行を許可する（ステップＳ１６）。制御部は、走行許可条件の成立後の電動車両の走行中にアクセル操作が解除された場合（ステップＳ１９でＹＥＳ）であっても、所定の走行許可継続条件が成立している状態でアクセル操作が再び行われた場合（ステップＳ２１でＹＥＳ）、走行許可を継続する（ステップＳ１６）。走行許可継続条件は、アクセル操作が解除されてから所定の許可継続時間以内であること（ステップＳ２０でＹＥＳ）とする。【選択図】図３
