This invention is to provide an additive for lowering cholesterol contents in aquatic animal. The additive comprises a probiotic complex formula and a Chinese herbal compound composition. Using one of the additives alone or using both at the same time can all effectively lower cholesterol contents in aquatic animal. The additive utilizes the microorganism in the probiotic complex colony containing blocker (Monacolin K) capable of lowering cholesterol and antioxidants, and the mechanism of the Chinese herbal compound composition capable of lowering cholesterol, to achieve the efficacy of lowering cholesterol contents in aquatic animal. The result of this invention also shows that lowering cholesterol contents does not generate significant change in the nutritional value and nature of the aquatic animal gonad.本發明是提供一種可降低水產動物體內膽固醇含量的添加劑,該添加劑係包括一複合益生菌配方和一中草藥複方組合,單獨使用其中一種添加劑或兩種同時合併使用皆可有效降低水產動物體內膽固醇含量;該添加劑利用複合益生菌群中含有可降膽固醇阻斷劑(Monacolin K)及抗氧化物質等之微生物,以及中草藥複方組合中降低膽固醇之機轉,來達到降低水產動物體內膽固醇含量之功效;本發明結果亦表明,降低膽固醇含量對水產動物生殖腺的營養價值和性質沒有發生明顯的變化。
