COMPOSITIONS, INCLUDING UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS AND COMPOUNDS, RELEASING NITROGEN OXIDE, AND THEIR APPLICATION FOR STRENGTHENING THE COGNITIVE FUNCTION AND RELATED FUNCTION

A composition suitable for enhancing cognitive function and related functions in an animal, comprising one or more unsaturated fatty acids (EFAs) and one or more compounds releasing nitric oxide (NO-BC), in an amount effective to enhance cognitive function and related functions in the animal. ! 2. The composition according to claim 1, where the animal is a human or pet. ! 3. The composition according to claim 2, where the pet is a dog or cat. ! 4. The composition according to claim 1, where the animal is an aging animal. ! 5. The composition according to claim 1, in which the NLC includes one or more of natural fish oil, ALA, EPA, duodenum, DHA or other n-3 fatty acids from any source. ! 6. The composition according to claim 1, in which the NLC is fish oil. ! 7. The composition according to claim 1, comprising from about 0.1% to about 50% NLC. ! 8. The composition according to claim 1, in which NO-BC is arginine or its derivative, releasing nitric oxide. ! 9. The composition according to claim 1, in which NO-BC is citrulline. ! 10. The composition according to claim 1, in which NO-BC is ornithine. ! 11. The composition according to claim 1, comprising from about 0.1% to about 20% NO-BC. ! 12. The composition according to claim 1, further comprising one or more vitamins B in an amount effective to enhance cognitive function. ! 13. The composition according to item 12, including approximately 0.1-40 times the amount of the recommended daily intake of vitamins B.! 14. The composition of claim 1, further comprising one or more antioxidants in an amount effective to enhance cognitive function. ! 15.
