PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape type disposable diaper having excellent fitness, wearing texture, and leakage prevention property.SOLUTION: A tape type disposable diaper 100 includes: an absorbent body 14 that consists of a front piece 2, a crotch part 4 and a back piece 6 and in which a plurality of sheets 18 and 20 are superposed, with an absorber 22 clamped therebetween fastening tapes 10 that are disposed extending from respective left/right side edges 6a and 6b of the back piece 6 of the absorbent body 14 and a front patch 30 that is disposed on the front piece 2 of the absorbent body 14 for fitting the fastening tapes 10. The front patch 30 includes an upper notch part 31 formed by notching an upper edge side 301, which is located at an end edge side of the front piece 2, in such a manner as being recessed inward at the front patch 30.
