[PROBLEM] THE PRESENT INVENTION ADDRESSES THE PROBLEM OF PROVIDING A TAPE-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER EQUIPPED WITH A FRONT PATCH (20) THAT NEVER GIVES A WEARER A FEELING OF PRESSURE AROUND THE ABDOMEN WHEN THE DISPOSABLE DIAPER (100) IS BEING WORN. [SOLUTION] THE PRESENT INVENTION IS BASED ON FINDINGS THAT THE ABDOMEN OF A WEARER CAN BE PREVENTED FROM TOUCHING A FRONT PATCH, AND THAT WEARING COMFORT CAN BE IMPROVED BY PROVIDING A NOTCH IN A LOCATION WHERE THE ABDOMEN OF THE WEARER HAS THE POTENTIAL OF TOUCHING THE FRONT PATCH. IN OTHER WORDS, THE PRESENT INVENTION PERTAINS TO A TAPE-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER HAVING FASTENING TAPES (10) AND A FRONT PATCH, AND IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT A CENTRAL NOTCH SECTION (21) THAT IS INDENTED TOWARD THE INSIDE OF THE FRONT PATCH IS FORMED AT LEAST TOWARDS THE UPPER EDGE (201) OF THE FRONT PATCH, AND THE TOP OF THE INDENTATION OF THE CENTRAL NOTCH SECTION (211) IS POSITIONED IN THE CENTRAL AREA (20A) OF THE FRONT PATCH.
