PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner effectively and efficiently exerting an air cleaning effect such as sterilization and deodorization by catalyst by sufficiently and smoothly securing a ventilation flow rate while reducing a ventilation resistance.
SOLUTION: This air cleaner is provided with a catalyst support body 20 supporting oxidation catalyst or reduction catalyst in a duct 11 along its longitudinal direction, and an upstream-side baffle plate 21 and a downstream-side baffle plate 22 in the both ends of the catalyst support body 20 the interval between the upstream-side baffle plate 21 and the downstream-side baffle plate 22 is divided into a support body upstream side area 24 and a support body downstream side area 25 by the catalyst support body 20 and the support body upstream side area 24 is communicated with an upstream-side channel 12a inside the duct 11, while the support body downstream side area 25 is communicated with the downstream-side channel 12b inside the duct 11.
